About Spin the Wheel
The Spin the Wheel tool lets you add any list of options and spin an animated wheel to select a random winner. The wheel uses smooth eased deceleration — it starts fast and gradually slows — for a realistic effect that builds suspense before revealing the result.
Great for classroom activities, team decisions, party games, giveaways, raffle draws, or any situation where you need a visually engaging and fair random selection. Teachers use it for student participation, managers for task assignment, and streamers for interactive audience events.
Each spin generates a fresh random angle using the browser's Math.random() function. Results are statistically independent — previous spins have no influence on future outcomes, so streaks do not indicate bias. To ensure no option repeats across multiple spins, remove an entry by clicking its X tag immediately after it wins before spinning again.
All option lists and results stay entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or saved between sessions — your entries reset when you close or refresh the page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the spin truly random?
Yes. The extra rotation angle is generated using Math.random() before each spin, so each result is statistically fair.
How many options can I add?
There is no hard limit. The wheel automatically adjusts font size and slice size to fit more options.
Can I remove the default options?
Yes. Click the X on any option tag to remove it. You can also add your own by typing in the input and pressing Enter.
Why can’t I edit options while the wheel is spinning?
Editing is temporarily locked during spin animation to keep results consistent and fair. Once the spin ends, editing is re-enabled automatically.
Is the wheel fair for giveaways?
Yes. Each spin generates a new random angle, giving every option an equal probability of being selected — suitable for fair draws and giveaways.
