About Image Watermark
The Image Watermark tool lets you protect photos by adding customizable text watermarks. Control font, size, color, opacity, rotation angle, and placement — or tile the watermark across the entire image for full-coverage protection against unauthorized use.
Photographers, designers, and content creators use watermarks to protect portfolio images, proofs sent to clients, and preview images shared on social media. Tiled mode makes it difficult to crop out the watermark.
All processing runs locally in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are never uploaded to any server, so it is safe for watermarking client photos, unreleased work, and any images you want to keep private.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I tile the watermark across the entire image?
Yes. Enable the 'Tiled (repeat)' option to cover the full image with repeating watermark text. This provides the strongest protection against cropping.
What fonts are available?
Arial, Georgia, Courier New, Impact, and Trebuchet MS — standard system fonts available in all browsers.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. All watermarking uses the Canvas API in your browser. Your photos never leave your device.
Can I add a logo watermark instead of text?
Currently only text watermarks are supported. For logo watermarks, use the Photo Editor tool which allows image overlays.
Can I adjust the watermark transparency?
Yes. The opacity slider controls watermark transparency from fully visible to nearly invisible. 30–50% opacity is typical for proof images.
